Vallejo PAL Redevelopment Project

Late in 2007 the Vallejo City Unified School District contracted to have the Curry School complex removed. Vallejo PAL is working with the VCUSD, City of Vallejo, and the Greater Vallejo Recreation District to transform the empty space into an athletic complex than will serve PAL, Benjamin Franklin Middle School, and the people of Vallejo. We have plans for a clean, modern facility that has 3 softball/soccer fields, off street parking, snack bar/storage facilities, and batting cages. Proper drainage is a priority which will afford year-round use. The facility will have controlled access and motion activated security lighting. The off street parking will contribute greatly to the neighborhood as PAL has traditionally used a lot of the available on-street parking on game days. Over 140 parking spaces will minimize the impact we have on the residents' daily lives.

Scott Lipscomb and associates have provided us with a preliminary site schematic:

We are actively seeking donations of time, money and materials to help complete this project. Donations are tax-deductible and all donations will be recognized within the new facility. Corporate sponsorship such as Park Naming is available. Please help us advertise this exciting event in PAL history.
