About Us

Hurricane Softball is a branch of the PAL-GALS Softball program. We field softball teams that compete in tournament events. The level of play is stepped up from home league and all girls who enjoy softball are encouraged to participate. Tryouts are held towards the end of the home league season. Teams are formed on an age basis. Teams are designated as 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under, and 18 and under. Age is determined according to birth year so if a girl turns 11 on January 1, 2009 she is still eligible for 10 and Under play in the 2009 season. This is in accordance with rules set forth by the Amateur Softball Association of America.

We have been an organization known as the Hurricanes since 1997. We have fielded many teams over the years and have enriched many girls' lives.

We are completely self supporting and staffed entirely by volunteers. During the summer and fall months on any given day you will see dedicated players and coaches at the PAL fields practicing for weekend tournaments.
