The 9th annual JLR Memorial has come and gone. The weather treated us well and the event was a success. A broken water main at the PAL fields complicated field prep but our dedicated crew did a great job of improvising.
The lack of Curry School in the background is a great improvement at the PAL fields. The School District has installed a "walking track" for the middle school. The temporary fencing will be removed when the grass groundcover is mature. Grant applications have been submitted with regards to the sports field development project. Local service organizations and businesses have voiced support and offered help for the project. Keep word of mouth going and let's keep the momentum going on this great facility for the young people of Vallejo.
