For the first time in a number of years we will field teams in the 10,12,14,16, and 18U divisions this summer. Our program is on the rise, look for us on the field this year! Home League grew a little bit this year and we are hoping that this trend continues in the years to come. The Hurricanes will be holding free pitcher/catcher clinics every sunday during Home League from 2-3pm. The Hurricanes are a division of the PAL-GAL Softball program and we want to give back. By investing time in the younger players in our league we can improve the program as a whole. Home League opening day got rained out but we are hoping to officially open the season this week. Pitcher/Catcher clinic is getting larger each week. After 3 sessions we can see some progress with many of the girls. First pitcher/catcher clinic had 16 girls show up. What a great start! PAL-GAL teams have been picked and practices are beginning. Spread the word and let's make it a good season! 12U AK Announces Spring season Try-Out dates (January 14-15) 2012 JLR and Summers End Tournament dates have been confirmed. The 12th annual Hurricanes Crab Feed will be held January 28, 2012 at Dan Foley Park in Vallejo. Come support the girls and have a great time. Redevelopment The dream for a newly renovated softball/soccer complex is still a reality. We did not get the grant we were hoping for but we are not giving up. We are researching different avenues of funding and moving forward. Monthly steering committee meetings take place at the PAL office on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm. If you feel you have something to bring to the process you are encouraged to attend.
